Peaceful coexistence

In the forest we must look high and low....chances are that something strange and unique will pleasantly surprise you if you have an observant and sharp eye. I came across this group of caterpillars on a small tree in the forest recently.Never seen this before. There are about 50 caterpillers lining closely and tightly on the tree. Just wondering these caterpillars belong to how many mother butterfly or moth. The fact that they can survive on this bare tree trunk suggest that the stinging hairs of the caterpillars are protecting them from their predators. On contact these hairs release a venom or irritant which will turn away their predators.I believe this is how wildlife coexist in the natural environment.
